Austin Beiv grew up in the tough streets of Brooklyn, where the expression of one’s self was usually done through wall tagging—or, as we say in Italian, "graffito." Austin was influenced by many different artists, particularly Fernando Carlo, who was well known for his expressive graffiti. The influence from Austin’s childhood is where the edge and contemporary look of his art pieces originates. After graduating from Pratt Institute in the early ’90s, Austin now travels all over America to look for inspiration, whether it’s a tagged wall or an art museum. He loves to embrace all the unique and expressive simplicities life offers.
Just gorgeous in real life. It pulls towards the darker side in color but the creams just bounce off the canvas. I bought the largest one for an outdoor space. I am very happy with this painting.. Amanda. Cary, NC. Fri Aug 14 2020
