The piece is beautiful but it took forever to get. I tried to cancel the order because of a change of address - thought it was cancelled and three weeks later it showed up at my home. Turns out the fulfillment center DECLINED my cancel with no explanation. The first person I spoke with at Perigold was fine, just repeating what her script said. Venture Out is reminiscent of the work of 20th-century American painter Robert Ryman known for his unique approach to monochromatic painting. A balanced composition is the focal point of this minimalist work on paper. The color scheme combines with the dense use of materials and gestural marks that provide the work with a structural feel. The limited color palette of cream, champagne, and sand ties together the work. A graceful complement to smooth pursuit, Venture Out invites a moment of quiet reflection through abstract forms in a pleasing neutral palette. Part of the carefully curated collection.
