In 2017, after years of sourcing artwork for countless interiors from outside sources, Hampton + Dunes Creative Director Michelle Mancuso decided to launch the brand’s exclusive art collection that would perfectly complement their clients’ homes. She called on her longtime friend and gifted photographer Christina Bohn to bring her vision to life. With Michelle as director and Christina as photographer, the two friends conceived, shot, and produced the brand’s first collection of fine art photography. Austin Beiv grew up in the tough streets of Brooklyn. Where the expression of one’s self was usually done through wall tagging, or as we say in Italian "graffito". Austin was influenced by many different artists particularly Fernando Carlo. Fernando was well known for his expressive graffiti. The influence from Austin’s childhood is where the edge and contemporary look comes from in his art pieces. Austin graduated from Pratt Institute in the early ’90s. Austin now travels all over America to look for inspirations whether it’s a tagged wall or an art museum. Austin loves to embrace all the unique and expressive simplicities life offers.
