Whole Day recalls the modern art period of the 20th century. Dimension is brought forward in a composition of squares, ovals, and rectangles. Distinct color fields of onyx, cream, auburn, bone, and buff offer the work a sense of depth. Taken together, the work offers the viewer an expressive view of the modern art period. A pleasing blend of earth tones and geometric forms, this serene work of abstract art is an original addition to Art by TA.
Mine actually arrived with a different frame than what I was expecting from the listing photos, so I was unsure at first. But once I got it leaned up and styled, I completely changed my mind. The frame I received has a softer, more textured look in person that actually works really well with my space and gives it more character. The artwork itself is beautiful — very neutral, calming, and easy to work into a room without overpowering everything else. It has that high-end abstract look that makes a space feel more finished and layered. Packaging was great and everything arrived in perfect condition. Even though it wasn’t exactly what I expected initially, it ended up being one of those pieces I liked more and more once I saw it in person.. Allyh. Margaretville, NY. Tue May 26 2026

The canvas medium enhances the visual depth, creating a focal point that captivates and intrigues. Ideal for diverse settings, this artwork complements both contemporary and traditional interiors.
I genuinely love The Mysterious Flamingo. The artwork is mysterious, dramatic, elegant, and slightly whimsical. It has a captivating, moody aesthetic that makes it a beautiful statement piece. But as much as I love the image, something about the overall presentation feels surprisingly inexpensive. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's a noticeable disconnect between the sophisticated artistic concept and the quality it seems to convey. It has the look of something that wants to be a high-end statement piece, yet there's a slightly mass-produced, decorative feel that undermines its sophistication. At Soicher Marin's premium price point, I expected a level of refinement that would make the piece feel truly luxurious. Instead, I'm left admiring the artwork while questioning whether the execution justifies the cost. The most frustrating part is that I really do love the image. It's distinctive, intriguing, and exactly the aesthetic I'm drawn to. I just wish the finished piece felt as elevated as the artwork itself.. Sandra. Delray Beach, FL. Thu Oct 29 2026

Artist Jean Kenna was born in Seoul, Korea. She studied illustration at the art center college of Design where she developed her fundamental drawing and painting skills, as well as getting basic knowledge of technical programs. For Jean, art means lots of things. She thinks art is her language and a privilege given to her to express herself. It is also the way that she can communicate with the world in her own unique and personal way. Jean finds her inspiration in small things that make her excited. For example, movies, a lazy day on a beach, and the silence of a rainy day. Although she mostly works on digital media, Jean loves to draw with a pen and markers. This photograph, titled "Catherine Wilke" by Slim Aarons, was taken in 1980 at the Hotel Punta Tragara on the island of Capri, Italy. It captures a quintessential scene of leisure among the international jet set, with Wilke and other topless sunbathers—Elisabetta Catalano, Charlotte Ticken, and Pamela Grupas—lounging in a carefully staged tableau of glamour and affluence. The image reflects a cultural moment when European luxury travel and liberated attitudes toward fashion and sunbathing were emblematic of elite lifestyles in the late 20th century. Slim Aarons, renowned for his evocative photographs of, as he described it, "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places," was the quintessential chronicler of high society. After serving as a war photographer, Aarons turned his lens to a new landscape: the glamorous lives of Hollywood elites, Palm Beach socialites, and jet-setting debutantes and princes. His work for society publications captured an aspirational world of leisure and luxury that defined the American upper class throughout the mid-20th century, creating images that remain timeless symbols of sophistication and style. Every piece in our unique Slim Aarons collection is meticulously handcrafted using archival materials and printed on premium, luster photographic paper with environmentally safe inks, custom framed by skilled artisans who ensure that each work of art meets the exacting standards befitting such an iconic photograph.

Although born and raised in Los Angeles, artist Van Garret has been heavily influenced by traveling abroad to a multitude of countries, especially Iceland. Music is a big part of his life and it sparked his creativity even before he began painting. In fact, Van did not begin painting until he was in college and he is self-taught. “Art was something that was always in my genes. It makes me happy. I believe that every artist leaves a piece of themselves in their artwork. In turn, it makes me happy when people get to own part of those pieces to share with the world.” Van prefers working in liquid acrylics and watercolors because of their fluidity. “I like how the colors flow. This 1980 image of Catherine Wilke and fellow sunbathers at the Hotel Punta Tragara in Capri captures a defining moment of late 20th-century European leisure culture. By this time, Capri had cemented its status as a glamorous retreat for the international elite, known for its dramatic scenery, exclusive resorts, and liberated social atmosphere. The topless sunbathing and casual elegance reflect the shifting norms of the post-1960s era, when attitudes toward the body, fashion, and public expression had become markedly more relaxed. This photograph not only documents a luxurious lifestyle but also symbolizes the cultural freedom and aesthetic minimalism embraced by the global jet set at the dawn of the 1980s. The artist Richard Ryder developed an affinity towards art at an early age where he took every opportunity to incorporate art into his assignments. During his early years while attending elementary school, he would doodle on the blank side of envelopes or any discarded paper. This drove his passion to pursue taking studio art courses while in high school and continued that pursuit through a four-year formal art education. As an artist that is heavily influenced by graphic design, Art Deco, and traditional animation, Richard aims to capture the beauty in whichever subject he is painting. He focuses on ways to exploit the basic elements of art to create a satisfying and cohesive design. As an artist, Richard seeks to improve and challenge himself. He states that “With the internet, I am constantly inspired by art either in the fine art or commercial field. It is this exposure that leads me to constantly explore different mediums and styles."

Brad Ellis is a Texas-based artist whose focus is on abstract painting. Throughout his career, he has continually experimented with imagery from tightly rendered, systematic patterns to loosely constructed, expressionistic compositions. He has distinguished himself by embracing the ancient medium of encaustic which is hot wax painting and is a process by which heated beeswax is mixed with pigments and applied to board or canvas and then fused to the surface with a heat source. Brad approaches each new painting with the same consistency that he's employed for many years now which he referred to as “Pattern, Rhythm, and Process.” He typically starts each painting by building up layers of paper and/or fabric collage materials by cutting and mounting these pieces onto the canvas or board and arranging them in a way to form the underlying pattern of the painting. This helps lay the foundation for the initial imagery and paves the way for the applications of the other mediums.

Cool Contours 1 pays homage to the great Hilma af Klint, the Swedish painter and mystic credited with creating some of the earliest known abstract pieces in Western art history. This piece offers an inviting biomorphic theme with its boldly defined organic shapes. A heavy black contour line plays a distinct role by providing the eye with a focal point while hand-drawn marks offer a counterpoint. The cool color palette presents a contrast with alabaster and eggshell white alongside denim and steel blue all punctuated by a pop of mustard yellow and chocolate brown. The dance of color and form gently invites the viewer in. Common forms are reimagined in this exquisite addition to art by TA. Pairs beautifully with Cool Contours 2.
