Artist Commentary: "At the Shoreline" gave me the opportunity to work with a new color palette and I enjoyed the process immensely. Painting 'local color,' or the color one actually sees, is how I started my artistic journey. Adding more pinks and purples, especially in my underpainting process, which is my road map for my final painting, resulted in a more colorful and saturated painting. I like the result and I'm certain I will continue exploring this technique in future paintings.

I like the abstract image. The colors and spirit are just perfect for my space. I like the large size. The back is kind of sticky from where they glued that brown paper backing to the frame so that part is not especially well done. Not a fan of the plastic used to cover the front. It causes a good amount of glare off of the image. I think for the quality of the product it should have been less expensive. Artist Commentary: My first teaching trip to CA exposed me to a very bright color selection and I brought back fabrics to make this piece because at that time, 1980's on the East Coast, available fabrics were much more muted.
