Holding a gnarled limb in its contemporary grasp, the sleek black iron stand balancing the Vine sculpture creates our favorite juxtaposition, combining modern and organic. We harvest the pieces of wood that end up on these sculptures from the jungles of Asia, using as many pieces of each tree we pull from the forest floor as possible. The Vine sculpture is proof that there is beauty to be made, even with elements most people would see as castaways.

The Atlas Lifting Wood Sculpture has a storied namesake. In Greek mythology, Atlas was the Titan god of endurance whom Zeus tasked with holding up the celestial heavens for eternity. The black figures extending from the black base on this sculpture, which support the organically shaped wood artifact, have as weighty a job as the mythical hero. As we shaped the teak wood into a ball, we brought a beautiful sheen to the finished piece and refined the character that only nature can achieve.
