Sara Brown was born in Oakland, California in 1990 to an underprivileged family but was fortunate enough to grow up with a loving, happy family. Although she did not grow up with much, her family always encouraged and supported her to follow her dream to be an artist. Sara decided at an early age that she wanted to travel the world and create art through her experiences. She traveled to many places including parts of Asia, Europe, and the United States. All the art she is creating is based on the inspirations she gained through her many travels. The artist, Richard Ryder, developed an affinity towards art at an early age where he took every opportunity to incorporate art into his assignments. During his early years, while attending elementary school, he would doodle on the blank side of envelopes or any discarded paper. As an artist that is heavily influenced by graphic design, Art Deco, and traditional animation, Richard aims to capture the beauty in whichever subject he is painting. Guseul Park was born and raised in Korea and studied ceramics in college; however, she was always drawn to painting and drawing and is a self-taught artist. “Art means meditation to me. By creating art, I get to go explore the deepest side of me and examine my state of mind. Creating art always brought me to a state of pure joy. It is the place in which I can be myself.” Her favorite medium to use is a pencil which she describes as “back to basics art.” She finds inspiration in daily strolls and travel. She also enjoys reading and sewing embroidery when she is not creating new artwork.
