All designers, as well as Art Decor, are tired of seeing the same old adjustable rods with multiple versions of the same finial. Art Decor has spent years perfecting the Kontur Traverse Rod because the design community actually can measure and appreciates a custom made rod. Kontur is a wood rod wrapped in a high density laminate with an aluminum channel inserted to provide a high efficiency traverse system. The laminate prevents the wood from warping and is scratch resistant, as well as dye lot consistent. You can now order multiple rods and they will all be the same color! Kontur has a modern look but is so refined in appearance; it will still be fashionable for years to come.

These rods are really nice and look great. The 4 rather than a 5 is because the the finial is part of the track so the draperies don't stop at the end of the rod but go all the way to the end of the finial. I was having difficulty finding curtain rods that could be used over a patio door where you can't put a center bracket. The cheap ones that are widely available would bend in the center. I also had an issue with rods that would be scratched by the curtain grommets, creating black dust that would get on my curtains. These are stainless steel and strong. No bending, no scratching. What a pleasant surprise! This curtain rod is extremely well constructed, it has a substantial weight. The finials also have some weight and look very elegant. These curtain rods are beautiful. I am giving them four stars rather than five as on my first order the finials did not match the rods, just a different shade of brass, which was easy to understand as some parts came from China, some from Spain, some from Canada.
