Audo Copenhagen
Rooted in a unique design philosophy, Interconnect demonstrates designer Colin King’s and Audo’s commitment to innovation and creativity, pushing the boundaries of conventional candle holder design. Visually calming yet unexpectedly playful thanks to its geometric form that balances contrasting shapes, the design is both a source of cozy candlelight and a streamlined sculpture in its own right. In bronzed brass, black powder-coated metal, or polished steel, it takes on a range of expressions, becoming only more beautiful with time and use.

The Clip wall candle holder from Audo Copenhagen sets a homey vibe with an architectural silhouette made up of medieval-inspired motifs. This holder provides practicality with a long linear framework that mounts atop the slimmest architectural columns. The open framework flows upward in a tight curve evocative of a paper clip. The candle’s wax drippings catch elegantly inside the low-profile bobeche dish. This holder’s blend of modern and traditional features resonates across home styles.

This Frame box is a square box in a cubistic shape. The simple boxes are inspired by the Kubus candleholder by Mogens Lassen, which is based on strict mathematical formulas and designed with the greatest precision. The cubistic boxes can be easily stacked on top of each other, as the handle contains a spring function, which is easily pressed down when a box is stacked on top of another box. The Frame boxes provide a flexible storage solution and are perfect for storing office accessories, jewelry, makeup, and any knickknacks that need organizing and storing. The small and simple Frame boxes are manufactured and assembled by hand in Denmark. It is a collection that truly unites functionality, quality, and aesthetics.
Taking its name from the Latin word for “extend,” the Duca candle holder does exactly that: by loosening the screw on its slender stem, the height of the design can be adjusted as the candle burns. Cast detailed with rattan enfolded around its lower half, the simple yet impactful design brings a sense of intimacy and warmth to its surroundings. A small screw on the side of the design allows the user to adjust the height – extending or shortening the telescopic stick to the desired effect.
These are new favorite addition to my house decor. They are so stunning yet understated.!!!. Michele. Scottsdale, AZ. 2019-12-19 19:04:56
The Flambeau wall candle holder from Audo Copenhagen, is a spirited piece, amplifying the flame in shape and warmth. Kroyer-Saetter-Lassen designed the piece with the French modernist lamping in mind. Their work zeroes in on the properties of materials and their construction. The holder starts out with a hidden mounting plate that one can easily arrange in tight spaces. A slender arm comes forward to hold the wax candle as a refined gesture. The flickering flame on the candle reiterates its outline with this holder’s abstract backplate. The rounded backplate uses its sweeping surface to receive the holden hue of one’s moody candle.

Inspired by the spiraling movement of air, often seen through smoke or mist, the new Aer Vase by Gabriel Tan for Audo brings sculptural appeal to surfaces. Taking its name from the Latin word for air or vapor, the vase’s asymmetrical silhouette undulates in liquid-like waves to bring a tactile, almost ethereal quality to the glass. Bringing a new perspective to traditional vases, Aer’s rippled silhouette is perfect for admiring from afar and exploring up close. Designed by Gabriel Tan, his innate appreciation of simplicity, sculptural beauty, and functionality come together on Aer. Following an extensive period of research and design to realize his vision, attempting to capture a form of beauty not often encountered in daily life, Gabriel Tan has created an object of beauty and function. The tactile surface of the rippled glass vase, offered in two sizes, is made during a precision process whereby molten glass is mouth-blown into a double cavity tool that reveals the complex three-dimensional shape. The finished design displays different visual characteristics depending on the viewing angle. Allowing for the arrangement of flowers and branches in two bunches instead of one within the same vessel, Aer becomes more than simply a vase: It is a sculptural object, also when not in use. When placed close to natural light, on a window sill or tabletop, it takes on an ethereal feel, where reflections and refractions of light bring the design and the surface on which it stands to life. Refracting and reflecting the light through its rippled glass surface, the Aer Vase brings a new perspective to traditional vases. The ethereal design holds multiple floral arrangements within the same vessel, making it both practical as well as sculptural.
Simple. Sophisticated. Sculptural. The Stance vase is inspired by traditional display stands to provide support for branches or long-stemmed flowers. The bronzed brass vase patinates beautifully over time and the understated design lends itself to any setting.
The Divot Aluminum Serving Tray marks essentials and decorative objects with a beautiful composition of understated geometry. Dancer and designer Colin King focuses on the power and beauty of stillness. King treats this tray like a center stage for one’s items. This cast metal piece rests on the dining, side, or desk table with a low profile for great versatility. The square tray receives a circular, making it great for containing objects and light spills. The metal's handsome and uniform finish adds to its refined elegance.
Drawing inspiration from the fluid drapes of fabric, the collapse vase has a soft, organic expression. Whether clustered, paired, or used alone, it lends sculptural beauty to modern spaces - with or without the addition of flowers. Each piece is unique due to the firing process.
The Clip handle holder from Audo Copenhagen keeps one’s mood-setting candles in place with grace and efficiency. Purposeful details, human needs, and great materials drive the work of studio Audo Copenhagen, space. The studio evokes the practical curves of a paper clip with this holder’s low-profile linear structure. The bobeche disc nestled inside draws inspiration from the traditional motifs of the medieval candle holder. This pleasant disc curve keeps the table tidy by holding excess wax.
