Nice, not great. Hard to see from picture, but the top is white enamel. Described as stone, but it looks like cement.

I very much like these plates; they (or at least the small ones) appear just as shown. The upper surface has a slick glaze, FYI, which may not be evident from a cursory inspection of the unzoomed image.
