"Classic fantasy and science fiction novels have always been an enormous fascination for me. In designing this calendar, I tried to visually translate the influence of C.S. Lewis, Jules Verne, and H.G. Wells into my work. Dominating the scene from the center, we see a pagan deity—"The spirit of the seasons"—combining nautical and naturalistic elements with machinery components, evoking the automatons of the Victorian era. An entity that generates winds, storms, and mild and sunny climates, as trees and fruit grow around it. Surrounded by the constellations, flocks of migratory birds fly through the months of the year, while mythological creatures such as dragons and sea monsters emerge among fluttering butterflies and schools of fish, highlighting the mysterious and enchanting dimension of nature."- Fernando Martins.
