In the early Egyptian dynasties, jewelry was made of colored pebbles. These were gradually replaced by glazed beads and semiprecious stones such as turquoise and carnelian, both of which are displayed on this collar in a linear pattern along with two falcon heads, which symbolize divine kingship.
