A hand lathe-turned ebony wood vessel from our Navua range. Each piece is a labor of love, beginning as raw ebony hardwood before being expertly turned on a lathe by skilled Mozambican artisans, every ridge and detail shaped entirely by hand — a true masterpiece that brings the beauty of African craftsmanship into your home. It is perfect for storing small items such as jewelry and other accessories, and customers love using these vessels as keepsake urns for ashes. The artisans live and work in Mozambique's vast woodlands, shaping every vessel from Mpingo, the Kiswahili name for African blackwood. Differences in tone and slight imperfections confirm the authenticity of both the material and the craftsmanship. The wood is always sustainably and ethically sourced in accordance with sustainable practices.
