After visiting festivals in the northern region of Ghana, artisan Joseph Boateng found creative inspiration in the customs he observed. One such tradition was the presence of <i>Atinga</i> drummers, who played their drums as both a welcome and farewell to guests. Joseph designs and handcrafts this sculpture of an <i>Atinga</i> drummer out of sese wood and paints it in shades of white, black, and brown.
