Guatemalan artisans capture Saint Francis of Assisi and his love of animals in this beautiful statue. Carved from pinewood, the monk holds a bird in his hands while two other birds perch on his red robe. A dog sits faithfully at his side. Hand-painted floral and dot motifs adorn the figurine. The two protruding birds are removable.
