In Guatemala, tiny dolls called iquitapenas/i are given to children who are nervous or on edge, with the idea to have someone to tell their troubles to. This charming mobile includes a series of these small dolls in handwoven textiles, which also covers the rhomboid that the suspends the dolls and wood beads. The mobile itself is made by Elias Garcia, but it is his sister's family that makes the dolls.
