Wilton Weave named in honour of the Wilton Royal Carpet Factory in Wiltshire which once manufactured carpets for Morris & Co. has been thoughtfully reimagined. Retaining the distinctive symmetry and structure of its carpet origins the design celebrates the intention behind the original artwork. Reminiscent of a tapestry Wilton Weave is refined in its detailing: stylised flowerheads scrolling foliage and decorative dots all come together in a smart balanced composition. Originally created by John Henry Dearle for carpet design this piece has been adapted into a detailed flat weave fabric robust yet elegant in a cotton-linen blend.
