Artist Commentary: Acrylic Gestural Painting in Black and White. Small pops of teal break up color and composition for contrast. I started with sweeping brushstrokes for layering and movement then added more layers for texture with wedges and palette knives. I always listen to music when I paint which contributes to the moment in my work.
