Artist Commentary: Monet is one of my all time favorites and it's because he's able to collide opposite colors in the most seducing ways. This is what this piece full of lush greens contrasted with soft pinks is doing. This painting is created with 4 layers of oil and wax, melted in certain sections to achieve overall balance.
