Artist Commentary: I paint marinas because yachts have similar abstract qualities that cars possess and this painting combines the two by featuring a car parked by the side of a marina restaurant with a yacht reflected in the restaurant window. I deliberately filter or abstract away from the original to emphasize some of the pictorial qualities that I am looking for.
