Studio artists purposefully crafted this piece from char-like crystal glass—a true reflection of the mud-caked water buffalo that tends the fields in so many agrarian places. Wearing the colors of their labor proudly, the sculpture here speaks to several indelible lessons: Only with the day-by-day care of our lands can we enrich future generations. In this, a father buffalo leads the way to a younger calf, educating and nurturing. He imparts knowledge and wisdom on tending to the land, teaching the young how to love the world into which they were born.
