The double gourd profile has been thrown in China for centuries, valued for the way one curve answers another. Legend of Asia keeps that outline and finishes this gourd vase in a crystal shell crackle glaze, a fine crazed web that forms as the kiln cools and never repeats from piece to piece. The white vase color keeps everything calm, letting shape and texture carry the object. High fired for a dense, watertight wall, this porcelain vase works as a floor vase beside a console or hearth, and its tall vase silhouette fills a corner that smaller accessories leave looking bare. Fill the ceramic vase with branches for entryway decor, or leave the accent vase empty; either way it settles easily into asian decor and modern rooms alike.
