Additional Features

• CORAL RED GROUND: Blossoming plum branches spread in white reserve across this baluster vase; the red vase field is warm and saturated, closer to coral than to crimson;
• REVERSE PAINTING: Rather than drawing the plum blossom in color, artisans lay the ground around it, so the flowers glow from the porcelain vase in pale, quiet relief;
• HIGH FIRE MAKING: Thrown and fired hot in southern China for a dense, watertight ceramic vase; small shifts in tone across the accent vase confirm every piece is handmade;
• STYLE AND CARE: Warm a neutral room with a single confident piece of chinoiserie decor; dust with a dry cloth; a bold anniversary or housewarming gift in asian decor;
• KEEP THE RED DEEP: Sunlight and harsh cleaners dull a glaze, so wipe the red vase with a soft damp cloth and mild soap only; dry the ceramic vase at once to keep the surface glossy;
