Additional Features

• AUSPICIOUS SCENE: A stately temple jar painted with a magpie motif perched among blossoming branches, a Chinese emblem of good news and happiness arriving at the door;
• BRUSHED BY HAND: Every stroke of the blue white cobalt is applied freehand, so line weight and shading shift across the body, the signature of collected chinoiserie decor;
• HIGH FIRE PORCELAIN: Thrown, painted and fired hot in southern China, the porcelain jar seals to a glassy finish; each ginger jar lid is fitted by hand to its own base;
• A GIFT WITH MEANING: Its symbolism suits weddings, promotions and new homes; the blue vase is waterproof and weatherproof, and a damp cloth keeps the asian decor looking fresh;
• GIFT READY UPKEEP: Cobalt brushwork sits sealed beneath the glaze of this lidded jar, so a soft damp cloth and mild soap are all it asks; harsh chemicals dull mantel decor;
