Additional Features

• PAINTED LANDSCAPE PANELS: Mountains, water and pavilions wrap this temple jar in continuous scenery; the landscape motif borrows directly from classical Chinese scroll painting;
• DEPTH IN THE BRUSHWORK: Washes of pale cobalt build distance behind darker foreground strokes, giving this porcelain jar a sense of perspective few blue white pieces attempt;
• JINGDEZHEN CRAFT: Shaped on the wheel, hand painted freehand and sealed with a glaze set by a high fire; small variations in shape and tone are expected on handmade work;
• FOR THE COLLECTOR: A considered collector gift and a natural centrepiece for chinoiserie decor; keep it indoors or under cover outside and dust with a soft dry cloth;
• PRESERVE THE PAINTED SCENERY: Dust this tall jar with a soft dry cloth and keep sprays away, since bleach flattens hand painted washes; console decor needs no sealing at all;
