Additional Features

• DARK PANELS: Painted fish swim across four flat faces of this tea jar in pale strokes against a deep ground; the black vase finish makes the brushwork glow rather than blend;
• SQUARED FORM: Most jars are round, so the flat sided body gives this ginger jar an architectural edge; corners are never perfectly true, which is chinoiserie decor at its most honest;
• HAND PAINTED: The fish motif is drawn freehand over a high fire body, then sealed beneath glaze; every ceramic jar shows minor variation in line weight and panel spacing;
• USEFUL AND HANDSOME: Store tea, spices or small keepsakes in the lidded jar, or display it closed; waterproof and easy to wipe, it brings graphic contrast to asian decor rooms;
• DARK GLAZE CARE: Fingerprints show on a near black finish, so buff this lidded jar with a soft dry cloth after handling; skip harsh sprays and shelf decor contrast stays sharp;
