We purchased these mirrors to have improved task lighting in the bathroom without having to install switches to control them since they have their own on/off dimming built in. They look lovely and enhance the look of our bathroom immensely. However, the install and operation and some features are problems. Installation: We had our electrician extend wiring to the mirror locations and install the brackets. We did the rest of the install, which was a nightmare. The control module wires kept getting in the way of the mirror so the J hook would not engage. Once we figured this out and taped them out of the way in just the right spot, we found out one of the led drivers needed to be moved in order for the mirror to sit against the bracket. We used our own heavy-duty sheetrock anchors. The wires for the control module inside the bracket were too short to feed through the notch in the bracket so we just hung the mirror hoping the wires would not be pinched by the metal bracket against the mirror. The install would have been much easier if there was a template provided rather than using the mirror itself as the template to mark the screw holes. It would be easier if the control module wires were inside the metal channel like the light wires are so you could connect them at the top of the mirror and tuck the excess back into the channel rather than worrying about pinching them behind the mirror. You have to attach the screws at an angle because the screw holes are inside the metal side channels. You need to be very careful not to damage the glass and at the same time not strip the screw. Finally, the plastic cover caps are difficult to attach. They are very tight and probably need a small mallet to tap in but this isn’t part of the instructions. If I need to take them off in the future, I don’t know how I’ll do it. Setup and connecting: The process of setting up the Konnect app is unexpectedly complicated since you need to to create one account for Konnect and another account for the Verdera. The instructions for connecting the mirrors are missing something. They show a button that needs to be pressed and held in to start the connection process, but that button doesn't exist on my mirrors. The only way I could get it to start the connection process was to turn the power off and on at the breaker for each mirror. Lights: The mirrors have a light underneath that can be dimmed but cannot be turned off, so all night long, the bathroom is lit up and shines into our bedroom. Be aware of this if your bathroom needs to be dark. What I like: task lighting and style What I don't like: complicated install & connection process, unhelpful user manual, lights don’t turn off completely

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this installed for about a month now and I can never go back! My husband doesn't like dealing with a lot of tech, but he loves it as well and I can hear him asking random questions before asking Alexa to play music in the shower. The light gets really bright at 100% which is perfect for makeup application in place of needing a makeup vanity since it had even light on my face with the lights all the way up the front left and right sides of the mirror versus just an overhead light. Having proper lighting to do my makeup is very important to me because there are so many imperfections that may be missed in low light. Alexa built in is very convenient since I can ask it to do almost anything my other Alexa devices can do with the exception of announcements and dropping in on the mirror (which is expected and not really missed). I can ask Alexa to change the brightness of the lights, the volume of the mirror, and to use pretty much any skill that I have enabled (I haven't come across a skill that doesn't work with it yet). I set up a routine for me for when I shower or do my makeup which is convenient so I can give one command instead of several. When I say, "Alexa, Princess time", the mirror changes its lights to 100%, volume to 7, and plays my favorite pandora radio Station. I can also control other smart home devices connected to Alexa from my mirror as well. The mirror's built in light is the only light in my bathroom and gives more light, if I choose to set it that way, than the pre existing light did. I highly recommend this to class up any bathroom or for even a high class bedroom vanity. It's amazing and a hit with everyone. I did have an issue getting all the voice commands to work initially, but after speaking with customer service they were about to instruct me on how to fix the issue and it was resolved. I do recommend using 2 devices (I used my phone and iPad) for setup since you do have to get a verification code emailed to you. If you try to switch back and forth on the same device it will have you send the email again. I had to check email on a separate device to get code and then put it into the main device I was using so I didn't have to switch apps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time owning this kind of product. Installing it was a little bit tricky and it required one-man-one-woman job. My husband and I worked together with the electrical and installing it to the wall. It is quite heavy. I need to emphasize though that we are not professional DIYers so it took us around 2 hours straight of removing old fixtures and mirrors until finally putting the last screw. I was then able to setup the Kohler Konnect app and enable Alexa features. I use it mainly for playing music while in the shower. I like all the features such as being able to control the lights and dim and turn off with simple touch, same with the volume. I also like the night light feature. Being able to control all these by voice command is cool and much more that I could control it with app even when not at home. My only issue is that the light is not bright enough to brighten my bathroom but the warm light sets a relaxing mood. I will just install supplemental lighting to meet my needs. I like that the mirror folds on the sides to aid in makeup applications. Overall, this is an awesome product.
