Just what I needed. The plate to be displayed is heavy and this stand is very sturdy and works perfectly. I have no concerns that it will topple over by the weight of the plate.

I have two of these plate stands and am about to order one more. They are incredibly sturdy for larger plates, even ones with some dimension, as this has the space to accommodate a display piece that is thicker rim or indented shape (like a pie plate or a meaningful book). Beautifully made, stable and level. Love it!

Perfect description and fast delivery

These are perfect for huge decorative platters. I found the most amazing ceramic Christmas wreath -- really big and heavy, with the nativity in bias relief figures -- it fit into this perfectly. Made a great display on a shelf at Christmas. The rest of the year I have a hand painted Italian platter in it. LOVE this! Solid, sturdy, and BIG. Perfect for display of larger decorative platters on top of my kitchen cabinets.
