• As I walk down Piccadilly with a tulip or a lily, Gilbert and Sullivan’s tough love tease aimed squarely at Oscar Wilde and the floppy aesthetes of the late Arts and Crafts movement. In this repeat, tulips and lilies undulate in a deliberately heretical trail, conceived to be a light-of-touch pattern that I know really helps make rooms look taller and that little bit grander.

The other advantage of pasting the wall wallpaper is that it is also easier to remove when the time comes to change it - no more need for a steamer to remove backing paper off the walls - it is strippable, so it can be removed dry which means it should come away in one piece leaving no residue and minimal damage to your walls.
