Additional Features

• The Column draws inspiration from a northern Italian column (ca. 1400) carved from red limestone (Broccato Rosso di Verona). The column, now in The Met’s medieval art collection, was probably made in . This reinterpretation, which measures 220 cm. in height, has been recreated in hand-carved wood, which perfectly shows its natural variations in patina and color.
