Quarried stone or marble contains natural fissures and color variations and as such, no two natural materials will be the same. These variations and features are not considered defects as they reflect the natural and individual characteristics of the material. Despite the perceived hardness and durability of stone and marble, their surfaces remain porous even when polished and may be stained by liquids or foods. A glass cleaner or soap and water solution may be used to maintain the stone or marble surfaces. We recommend regularly polishing these materials with clean, neutral wax. For best results use a product containing Carnauba wax. Waxing will help to protect the surface from stains caused by water or liquids.
