Additional Features

• A raised, barnacle-like surface mimics coral growth, giving the piece texture you notice from across a room and want to examine up close.
• The slim, oblong silhouette keeps all that texture in check, so it stays sculptural on a narrow shelf or console.
• Hand-glazed ceramic reinforces the salvaged-from-the-seafloor idea, so the object reads as found rather than bought.
• Each one is thrown, carved, decorated, and glazed by hand by women in Thailand, so the object is made rather than manufactured.
• Firing and glazing produce small differences in surface and dimension from piece to piece, which is the mark of real ceramic work.
