Additional Features

• The form follows the Akuaba figures of the Ashanti people of Ghana, so the piece carries a documented cultural story rather than generic styling.
• A stylized disk head and ringed neck express an ideal of beauty, health, and wisdom, giving the silhouette its distinctive graphic shape.
• Lost-wax casting in bronze holds the crisp edges and smooth planes that make the abstracted features read clearly.
• A marble base steadies the tall, narrow figure and separates it visually from the surface it stands on.
• Its small footprint fits a bookshelf, a bedside table, or the corner of a desk where a wider object would not.
