Alex Sibanda celebrates the Nguni cattle in his sculpture. This hardy breed, which has adapted to the harsh African environment, has varied horn shapes and hide patterns and no two animals are alike. With his monochromatic color palette and attention to detail, Sbu Mbatha has recreated the type of patterns that would be found amongst a Nguni herd.
