Mini Rose Bud features a repeating, stylized floral motif in an Art Nouveau-inspired style. The pattern alternates between two complementary vertical arrangements: One motif depicts a black, symmetrical leafy stem enclosed in a tall, narrow, irregularly shaped frame. The other motif features three rounded rosebud-like flowers in soft red-pink tones, with green leaves and stems, also enclosed in the same tall, narrow frame. The frames themselves are outlined in black, with organic, slightly irregular edges reminiscent of tree branches or stained-glass paneling. The color palette is earthy and vintage—muted green background, dark green foliage, soft brick-red blossoms, and deep black outlines—giving the print a rich, classic look. The design repeats seamlessly in a tight grid, creating a structured yet organic visual rhythm.

Texture is so important to some projects.  This “Birdseye” pattern was designed to support that textural need.  I began this design by creating a more artistic stripe that has the shape in a “curlicue” stripe.  Then I added small splashes of color to provide the texture.  Using two colors (light and dark) helps to provide that textual effect.  Fun and whimsical, this design also has an animal-type pattern  without being an actual animal design.”

This pattern was created to satisfy that need for something both textural and architectural while appropriate for several applications.  I was playing with designs with both vertical and horizontal lines and voila!  This pattern developed,  creating an interesting design with great visual texture.  If you notice, the  “Honey Comb pattern has a pattern within a pattern. I love palm fronds. They are elegant and interesting, offering a simple design element both organic and symmetrical. Palm trees can be found all over the southern US from the beaches in Malibu to the beaches in Miami. I designed this particular pattern with the palm fronds in layers showing dimension and depth in the design. This pattern just had to be part of my collection. - Debra May Himes

On a road trip to our cabin in Northern Arizona, I was inspired to create a contemporary floral pattern.  Hand drawn; the petals of this floral design seem to suggest that the lotus is floating.   There are many shades of color in this pattern. The layering of deep and rich colors within the petals enhances the petals while giving them dimension.  Why three Lotus on Stems?  Typically, odd numbers are more interesting than even.   Why the stems?  The stems act as stripes which help to anchor the flowers, stabilizing them while at the same time giving the  design structure. Dice features a green and white diamond checkerboard pattern, arranged in a tightly repeating geometric grid. Each green diamond contains a subtle internal texture of tiny white dots arranged in a crosshatch pattern, giving the appearance of a gingham-style weave. The diamonds are set against a white background, creating a visually crisp, clean, and vibrant look. I love geometrics. I love Art Deco. Geometric patterns often offer strong and important statements to projects with their strong lines and defined shapes. Inspired by the Art Deco architecture of the 1920s, this design presents a kaleidoscope of colors and those strong architectural shapes which add dimension and depth to this pattern. Warm, timeless and rooted in rustic charm. The alternating stripes of earthy brown, creamy ivory, and muted golden tones create a harmonious rhythm, reminiscent of sunlit afternoons in a countryside villa. The gentle contrast between the bold brown fields and the soft, neutral stripes gives the design a sense of balance. The linear flow of the pattern suggests continuity and serenity, while the soft, natural texture invites touch and comfort. There's an understated elegance here, a whisper of vintage romance woven into each stripe.

The inspiration for this pattern was drawn from the imagery of pomegranates—ancient symbols of fruitfulness, promise and beauty. The motif echoes something old, like it might’ve been block-printed in a 1700s dye house. I chose a warm, muted ochre for the pomegranate and a rich olive for the background to mimic the natural dyes of this era. I wanted it to evoke an American Heirloom feel - slightly rustic, usable but elegant. H. Lively

The flower in this design was inspired by a Cosmos. Often seen in cottage gardens or growing freely in meadows - I wanted my drawing to capture that same loose, organic spirit—full of movement and ease. This design begins with a foundation of layered neutrals, enriched by soft touches of green, gray, and blue in the foliage to bring depth and dimension to the floral motif. H. Lively

When I was a young child, my dad served in the Navy and was stationed in Japan. He brought home some beautiful silk pajamas for me which I recently rediscovered some 40 years later. They are blue silk with an all over pattern of elegant embroidered white roses. Rediscovering those pajamas, brought back wonderful memories of my dad who has long since passed. Avignon features an intricate botanical motif in warm, earthy tones of reddish-brown on a beige background. The pattern consists of stylized flowers, leaves, and foliage arranged in a symmetrical, repeating layout. Large floral clusters with curved, striped petals are interspersed with starburst-like blooms and leafy sprigs. The details are rendered with fine line work, giving the design a hand-drawn, vintage textile appearance. The overall effect is ornate yet harmonious, evoking a classic, traditional fabric style that could suit light duty upholstery, drapery, or wallpaper.

Cherubim features an intricate toile de Jouy–style pattern. The design is highly detailed, with ornate Rococo-inspired scenes framed by scrolling garlands, floral swags, delicate foliage, Cherubs, mythological figures, and pastoral vignettes placed within elaborate cartouches. The style evokes 18th-century French elegance, often associated with aristocratic interiors and fine drapery. Its refined linework and sophisticated imagery make it ideal for luxury upholstery, curtains, or statement wall coverings.

Intentionally simple, this design was also influenced by the Art Deco designs of the 1920’s. This pattern is charming and fun and provides a sophisticated, significant statement for projects. Designer - Debra May Himes

The Kadie is a study in repetition as movement. It began as an attempt to create a soft, scalloped rhythm—something that felt hand-drawn, not manufactured. The large-scale repeated strokes move in arcs, giving it both a quiet strength and a restful cadence. This pattern holds the tension I love most in design: structured yet soft, imperfect yet intentional. I wanted a design that was modern in its abstraction, but grounded—reminiscent of marks made by hand on pottery.
