To me, wandering vine patterns represent life, growth and nature. I actually have used patterns similar to this for iron door designs an iron base, and onyx bath pedestal line I designed. Texture is so important to some projects.  This “Birdseye” pattern was designed to support that textural need.  I began this design by creating a more artistic stripe that has the shape in a “curlicue” stripe.  Then I added small splashes of color to provide the texture.  Using two colors (light and dark) helps to provide that textual effect.  Fun and whimsical, this design also has an animal-type pattern  without being an actual animal design.”

This print began with a simple sketch of a poppy. I was drawn to its shape in seed and bloom. For this design, the linework stays loose, a nod to hand-drawn studies rather than botanical precision. I wanted the background’s color and texture to echo the looseness of the sketched floral, adding depth without distraction. The sketch lines of the floral outline are bold enough to define the form but soft enough to still feel hand-drawn and imperfect. My aim was to select a color palette that creates a sharper contrast without losing the natural and timeworn element. H. Lively

This design was inspired by the final ice skating performance of the 2022 Winter Olympics. The graceful weaving dance of the ice skaters. They wove in and out and around each other.
