Really pretty wallpaper! The color isn’t exactly as I expected. The pictures in the listing look like it is more of a blue grey background - there is no blue in this at all. I haven’t applied it to the wall yet because I still need to clean it and paint the trim so I will update when I do. While traveling in Greece in the early 1960s, Maija Isola got inspired by the movement of water and depicted it in several fabric prints, including Seireeni (siren) from 1964. Named after the mythological sirens, the pattern also recalls the enchanting singing that lured sailors into dangerous waters.

The year 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of Unikko, one of the most recognized Marimekko print designs in the world. Unikko was created by Maija Isola for Marimekko in 1964 and has since become an international icon of print design.

I love marimekko prints!! The wallpaper looks natural and earthy. It provides a pop of color and adds height to my bathroom. From afar, this peel and stick wallpaper appears to be a dotted pattern, but in fact, is a cornucopia of fruit and style! Marimekko's graphic design will add a unique look to your walls.

Overall, the installation was really easy. Lining up the pattern can get a little tricky, but it's not super noticeable if you're off by just a bit. I recommend using a plumb line or laser level to line up the first sheet and a smoother to make sure everything's laying flat and to get rid of air bubbles. The wallpaper ended up sticking to itself a few times, but I was able to unstick it without ruining the adhesive or pattern. I also had to pull some sections off after lightly adhering them, and this did not weaken the adhesive.
