A gift for life! This Kay Bojesen first saw the light of day in the beginning of the 1930s. With its proud stance, luxurious mane and reins at the ready, the horse invites us on an imaginary journey at a brisk gallop. Its soft curves and stiff legs give the horse the typical expression Kay Bojesen's wooden family of animals is known for: Playful contours that don't try to reflect those of real animals, but imaginative variations instead, which quickly find a place in any home. A great gift idea for a confirmation candidate or graduate - for weddings and all other memorable occasions.

A charming heavyweight turns 70. With its open mouth and whimsical expression, the Hippo is a figurine you love at first sight. It’s almost too fun to be true, and it’s easy to understand why Kay Bojesen was inspired by one of the animal kingdom’s most original characters when he created his famous and beloved Hippo back in 1955. Unlike most of Kay Bojesen’s wooden animals, which are often seen in soft and round shapes, the Hippo is somewhat more angular in design with predominantly straight and even lines – yet it excels with a big and loving smile and lots of power and a twinkle in the eye. The Hippo has that unmistakable expression of care and harmony, almost as if the strong wooden figurine communicates, ‘trust me, I’ve got your back’. According to the archives, Kay Bojesen himself had a grey Hippo on his desk. And the round birthday is celebrated with two anniversary editions in FSC® certified beechwood painted in an exclusive grey color – a true hippo color – with the large mouth painted pink. Whether you choose this anniversary version at 9 cm in height or the slightly smaller Liliput version at 6 cm, you get handcrafted quality in a beloved playful and timeless design, where the Hippos with their friendly expression, round eyes, and long strong form will add a touch of coziness and warmth to any room. Use them, for example, as small, surprising design elements in the home, peeking out where you least expect it. The two grey Hippos are only produced in 2025 and will therefore also be perfect as a unique gift for christenings, birthdays, graduations, weddings – or major anniversaries.

Birds meet, and sweet music ensues. The series of songbirds and lovebirds are beloved classics in Danish design and everlasting symbols of timeless love. With this pair of both modern and classic lovebirds, you get two unique birds in the iconic Kay Bojesen design. Embracing responsibility, with their harmonious colors and charming expressions, they unfold their wings with plenty of life and soul, landing right in the hearts of both young and old. One lovebird has light green plumage, a pink beak, a sand-colored head, and light blue legs, while the other is adorned with pink plumage, a light green beak, a green head, and sand-colored legs – almost the same color palette for both lovebirds. Both lovebirds measure 9 cm in height and are made with great precision from FSC® certified beechwood, guaranteeing that trees used for production are planted, grown, and felled responsibly. The colored lovebirds are inspired by contemporary color trends and exude a true testimony to the love for original Danish design and the fascination with the beauty of classic wooden figurines. At the same time, they mark a unique unity, a unifying community in an often too fragmented world. You know where you have the birds. And they have each other. With simple graphic means, the iconic songbirds have for years been brought to life in a multitude of colors – all in Kay Bojesen’s solid design with the well-balanced expression that appears inviting, calm, and pleasant. Enjoy them at home, together or separately. Or give one or both to someone you care about. No matter how you unfold Kay Bojesen’s original stories made of wood, the lovebirds have a special appeal to both children and adults and are a great gift idea for christenings, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, or weddings. A classic that flies with you through life – from the children’s room to becoming a beloved design icon in your own home.

Kay Bojesen designed these two happy skiers towards the end of the 1940s. The happy girl skier with the red cheeks and big smile is called Datti, which was the pet-name of Kay Bojesen's daughter-in-law Ruth (married to Otto). The name of the male skier, boje, was the pet-name of Bojesen's son Otto. The original wooden figures are very rare, as they were only produced in small series. With their cheerful expressions, this pair of skiers always make people smile, and they are all set to conquer Danish living rooms and homes again in this relaunch. Kay Bojesen designed Rattle, the first classic children's toy, in its original version in 1932. The rattle's dimensions make it easy for small hands to hold, while the ball in the middle of the rattle can move backwards and forwards, spinning around to delight the infant. The rattle is made of unpainted wood, because Kay Bojesen believed that this leaves more room for the imagination. An appealing gift idea for a christening, or as a parental leave present for anyone who appreciates authentic Danish design. The rattle is also a delightful design object for the bookshelf, and without a doubt will accompany the child on his or her journey into adulthood.

Kay Bojesen's royal life guard regiment consisted of several different soldiers and the Officer was part of the troops. Kay Bojesen created the soldiers for the first time in 1940 on the occasion of King Christian the X's 70th birthday as a tribute to the Danish king. At that time, they stood guard as one meter tall soldiers outside Kay Bojesen's shop in Bredgade. In 1942, Kay Bojesen created the smaller figures in the same size as we know them from the postman and the police officer. The officer carries his saber and stands as the leader of the Regiment.

Christmas magic interpreted in wood, based on original designs from the archives. Kay Bojesen creates original stories in wood all year round, and with the Christmas Tree in Kay Bojesen's universe, you get an iconic, stylish Christmas decoration in a well-known shape based on the classic stacking tower. The tree's green color is taken from the green ring on the tower and the ball on top is painted gold, so it twinkles like a star. Pictures from the archives show that Kay Bojesen loved making small Christmas displays. In this context, he himself used the stacking tower as a Christmas tree to create his own stories. You can choose exactly the one that best suits your decor—or combine two or more to create an atmospheric and minimalist still life. The Christmas trees' rings are turned in FSC certified rubber tree, while the glued-on top comes in FSC certified beech wood. As always, the manual production with paint and printing is carried out with the great precision and care typical of Kay Bojesen's wooden figurines. The wood, paint and craftsmanship are in focus and give the figures a very special quality—both physically and esthetically. Kay Bojesen worked on the basis of a philosophy that wood only comes to life when it has a story. This was common to all his figures and is also clearly expressed by the two Christmas trees, which bring the Christmas story to life with round shapes and classic lines. In the most beautiful way, Kay Bojesen's playful and imaginative thoughts live on in the Christmas tree, where red and gold baubles are mounted on the outside of the rings. Kay Bojesen insisted on awakening the imagination and the child in all of us – also in December, when an immediate joy, anticipation and magic surrounds us for 24 enchanting days—or a little more.

Big icons. Small sizes. Under the heading of Liliput, you can now create original stories in wood with three of Kay Bojesen's famous wooden figures in an even smaller miniature size, where the smiling lines in the miniature versions can't help but bring out the big smiles of everyone who loves classic Danish design. Meet the 3.7" Bear, the 3.0" Elephant and the 2.4" Hippo. Like his bigger siblings, Liliput Bear stands ready with his characteristic open arms and friendly expressions. Even though it's small, Liliput Bear can still turn its head and move its arms so you can position, sit or lay it down exactly as you like. The Liliput Elephant, with its long trunk and cute ears, has the same inviting round shape ias the original from the beginning of the 1950s, when Kay Bojesen's elephant figure was born at the Danish Arts and Crafts Spring Exhibition. Born in 1955 as a cheerful way to keep track of pencils on the desk, the Liliput Hippo will still create smiles and style in the office or children's room. All Liliput animals are made from FSC-certified oak, which guarantees that the trees for production are planted, grown and felled responsibly. The Liliput Bear also has details in FSC-certified maple, which help to emphasize the Bear's soft design. The individual parts of the animals have been turned, ground, sanded and polished to make them both beautiful to look at and pleasant to touch. Even though the animals have become smaller, the great craftsmanship behind each individual Liliput figure is the same as always, and the high quality of materials, design and finish shines through the three little friends, who in this unique bundle with all the Liliput figures are the perfect gift idea for anyone who appreciates original Danish design that Kay Bojesen is known for—whether for a big anniversary or a little child's birthday. Large, small, mini or Liliput, Kay Bojesen's family of wooden animals has a very special appeal for both children and adults. A wooden figure is not a gift that is forgotten, but becomes a dear friend that moves with you throughout your life—from the childhood bedroom to your own adult home— something that design icons of a certain caliber can do without losing relevance.

A smiley beak for 70 years. With its brightly colored beak and friendly expression, the puffin is a bird you love at first sight. It's almost too cute to be true, and it's easy to understand why Kay Bojesen was inspired by the charming bird from the cold north when he created his famous and beloved Puffin back in 1954. Of course, the 70th anniversary should be properly celebrated with an anniversary edition produced only in 2024 and a new mini-size that is even more charming, if possible. The little Puffin is 5.3" tall and is made from FSC-certified beech wood, which has been painted with great precision and care to give the body, beak and eyes the authentic, fine and friendly look for which the Puffin is known. It was theater painter Svend Rasmussen who stood behind the bird's fine colors and wonderful beak which, along with his naive, minimalist lines, perfectly match Kay Bojesen's playful, imaginative world. Regardless of its size, the Puffin has a very special appeal to both children and adults and is a great gift idea for christenings, birthdays, graduation gifts, anniversaries or weddings. A classic that moves with you throughout your life—from the children's room to becoming a beloved design icon in your own home.

Kay Bojesen's groom is original and classic Danish wood craftsmanship at its best – designed in Bojesen's iconic round shapes with a familiar twinkle in his eye. The groom is elegantly dressed in a dark suit with a white shirt and black bow tie. Meticulous details such as buttons, pocket handkerchiefs, and lapels bring the jacket to life and the groom's happy and welcoming smile gives him charm and personality. The shape of the groom is based on the original figurines from the archives, which are simple and minimalist, but full of heart and soul. The figurine is made from FSC-certified beech and crafted in the same high quality that Kay Bojesen's wooden figurines are known for. Give the groom a gift at the upcoming bachelor party, or let the elegant figurine find its way to the gift table in pairs with the groom's chosen partner.
