This works for what I was looking for but very expensive. Purchased two down alternative pillows from another website and they work just as well for half the price (for two pillows). That said, this is just what I was looking for. Not too thick for my small frame. This comforter is well constructed and warm. We live in the southwest and although we have freezing weather here and our bedroom is quite cold, this all season comforter is a bit too heavy for our climate.
