Its serrated leaves are usually deep green and its cob shaped flowers are pink or purple. Its famous exhilarating and subtle scent is characteristic of North African marketplaces and palaces.
A balance of fresh citrus and spicy notes, Sichuan pepper is strong and aromatic with a different scent to black or chili pepper.
