Mail Slot is made from solid brass material and is available in many finishes. Mail Slot has flaps on both sides of the door. The exterior is a spring-loaded flap and the interior is a gravity flap. Installation hardware is included making it quick and easy. Enhances the overall appearance of any Entryway. Hole size required: 2-3/4" x 11-5/8". Flap Opening: 2-1/8" x 11". A textured powder coat on a base material of aluminum, which is .050" thick with the default screw mounting containing screw holes. All kick plates are supplied with screws to match the finish.

I could not find the 28 inch wide option anywhere but here! We have double doors and the right side is max 28 inches. Came packaged really well! They were wrapped and then taped to a wood board and then wrapped in thick cardboard. No dents or bends!!! (I was worried about shipping!). I got the peel and stick option because we were not sure how well we would be able to drill into our 1960's doors. Wanted kick plates because the very bottom of the old wood doors is starting to weather. My only complaint is that the mounting tape goes across the back in three strips (from end to end) and the tape goes up to the edge so it's kind of visible. I didn't try to peel it back before mounting because I did not want to dent or bend the plate. I doubt many people would even notice, but things like that tend to stand out to me. I'm going to try to push it back/tuck it in a little with a small screwdriver or knife or something....if it does bother me that much. Mounting was super simple btw!!!! And it's holding well.. Beth. Just arrived. The image is incorrect! The knobs are the oval crystal, not as shown. This manufacturer must take great pride in their product though. The detailing is beautiful and the packaging was terrific. Just not what the client is expecting. As a side note, I found the descriptions to be a little confusing while searching for this kind of door knobs. The distinctive window-pane pattern, originally known as Bastile, was designed by Pacific Hardware of Los Angeles around 1912. Hand-hammered look designs in brass look best with a mellow, aged patina of our new Aged Brass finish or the rich soft tones of our Venetian Bronze. Hand-rubbed finishes.
