I have been looking to replace a favorite quilt that is so old it is coming apart. I thought this may be the one. It is not exactly what I had hoped for. The material is burlap-y, not soft and smooth like I hoped. It also has a smell that I think is from the dye. I am going to attempt wash it in the hopes that it will be better. The label says it is washable in delicate so that is what I will do. I was also a bit disappointed that for the high price it would come with pillow shams. The coverlet is beautiful, but the color is way too cool and grey. It does not match or blend with anything in the room so I cannot use it. I am very disappointed that I cannot return it. I have had this quilt for seven months. It’s a little warm for summer, but perfect in winter. I usually add another layer when really cold out, but there was no need.
