IMO there's a big difference between 'laid back' and 'sloppy.' At this price point -- even taking the discount I enjoyed into account -- these shams are unfortunately a "sham," and not something I can continue to use on our bed without being reminded I made a bad investment. Yes: I'm fussy -- and for that reason I'm willing to -- and in fact do -- invest $$$-$$$$ in (purported) quality bedding, and follow care instructions to the letter. The "Ink" was ((initially)) lovely -- exactly what I was after -- but with each washing the color becomes more & more drab. Be forewarned the fabric is not colorfast since my Clearasil and/or Lancome eye cream caused weird discoloration after Night One (see photo). The 2" flange manages to become floppier, the envelope back closure needs to be coaxed into closing, and the labels sewn onto the inside edges of the (((overlap))), versus the underside/inside flap portion of the envelope where they belong, insist on jutting out. I see the price has justifiably been reduced and the images [at least on the Pine Cone Hill website] now better reflect the "longterm" color. Very disappointed: not a wise investment!
