Yes, it's expensive. I had to really think about spending the money and I am happy I did. It is a quality made item and the 3 inch banding connecting the top of the ruffle to the flat section covering the mattress makes a huge difference. The bedskirt stays in place when turning the mattress. The material is substantial and coordinates well with the Magnolia print bedding. I did iron it before placing it on the boxspring and it looks beautiful.
