Matera is inspired by the rock formations in the Sassi region. This piece-dyed, 600-TC jacquard was made using the finest long-fiber standard cotton. Because of its complex construction, jacquard fabric is the height of textile arts; the motif is woven directly into the fabric instead of being drawn or printed on it. This extraordinarily complex and detailed procedure allows a high-quality fabric such as 600-TC cotton to become even more valuable. The fabric is double-twisted in both the warp and the weft yarns.
