Matera is inspired by the rock formations in the Sassi region. This piece-dyed, 600-thread-count jacquard was made using the finest long-staple Egyptian-quality cotton. Because of its complex construction, jacquard fabric is the height of textile arts; the motif is woven directly into the fabric instead of being drawn or printed on it. This extraordinarily detailed procedure allows the Matera series to become even more prestigious. The fabric is double-twisted in both the warp and the weft yarns.
