Matera inspired by the rock formations in the Sassi region. This piece-dyed 600-TC jacquard was made using the finest long-fiber Egyptian-Like Cotton. Because of its complex construction, jacquard fabric is the height of textile arts. The motif is woven directly into the fabric instead of being drawn or printed on it. This extraordinarily complex and detailed procedure used for the Matera series allows a high-quality fabric such as 600-TC Egyptian-Like Cotton to become an even more valuable fabric. The fabric is double-twisted, i.e., with both the warp and the weft yarns.
