This Palasis Comforter Set is very beautiful! It is difficult to fully see and appreciate it from the photos. It does not photograph well. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and how beautiful it actually looks. I need to steam it, but tried to smooth the wrinkles out as much as possible for the photos. A couple of things, first, I have a silk down comforter that I was hoping to use with this set. However, when I selected this set I thought I selected the duvet as there is also a duvet version of the Palasis. Second, the standard shams that come in the set are not great quality, they are just thin pieces of material. I chose not to use them. I had to purchase a duvet for my comforter and am layering both on my bed. I am considering having my tailor insert a zipper and remove the filling so that I can use it as a duvet, but not sure if it will be worth the extra cost. Ann Gish textiles are a high quality and exclusive brand and I am pleased to own this set. I just wish it was the duvet. Lastly, there were numerous stray strands that I carefully removed. I hope they don’t run or separate later. I recently slept under it and it is very light and comfortable as I tend to get very hot during the night. I added a photo of the comforter in daylight, you really cannot see the delicate pattern in the picture but you can in person. The color is pearl ivory and has a very slight striated pattern that’s very elegant. Overall, I really like the comforter and I think I can make the layering work. I think it will really come together once my new extra tall headboard platform bed arrives.
