Punto is a three-dimensional decorative element that can be used only on walls. The pattern is characterised by big sunken dots (down) or elevated dots (up) and finds its highest expression when used on large surfaces. Depending on how light hits the elements, they create unexpected chiaroscuro effects that enliven interiors. The traditional double-firing production technique enhanced the preciousness of surfaces, especially in the shades Vert and Brun where a reacting enamel typical of handcrafted pieces guaranteed an exceptional color rendering.

The Rattan Thassos With Blue Celeste Line mosaic tile uses two high-quality marbles to create a pared-down, bamboo-inspired look. In ancient Chinese culture, bamboo, with its raised joints and straight shape, resembling a solid backbone, is associated with many positive qualities including strength, flexibility, and growth. Pure white Greek marble meets Brazilian Blue Celeste marble in this subtle bamboo design. The beauty of bamboo is reinterpreted with a polished finish in the Rattan white collection. Two high-quality marbles, stunning on their own, enhance one another to create the illusion of natural rattan. Pure white marble, quarried on the Greek island of Thassos, sits beside blue celeste polished marble from Brazil in this uncommon collection. The materials for this collection are carefully selected to ensure that only the finest pieces of Greek white marble and Brazilian blue celeste are used to produce such a rare and versatile mosaic. Artisans lay marble chips into molds by hand. The tiles are then cut, polished, and glued onto a mesh backing for easy installation.

Because of the cost I couldn’t do the whole shower so I ordered 1 box to do the niche. It’s beautiful tile, very delicate! The first sheet I lifted out to inspect lost a couple of pieces off the mesh backing. I don’t think it was something that happened during shipping. The box of tiles was carefully placed in a larger shipping box that was filled with styrofoam peanuts. It arrived about a week after ordering. It’s very heavy.. Jaye. White Bear Lake, MN.
