I love this tub. The curves on both sides makes it feel like there is extra room, which there is. The wide edges on three sides are handy for soap, bottles of shampoo, etc. The only caveat--and this could be a big one--is the flange on those three sides. The flange is there (it's about an inch tall) is there to keep the water from going out over the tub on those three sides. Great idea, controls the water. But, the thing to watch out for is that the back side, with its flange is just a teeny bit lower in the center, to help the water to flow down the teeny hill, back into the tub. Fortunately, my installer picked up on that right away, and trimmed the solid material walls we were putting to sit in the teeny "vee". I'm not sure how tiles could be made to fit, but he said it could be done. The front curve on the tub also helps keep the shower curtain away from the user, makin for a much more pleasant shower experience. Don't know if you could put sliding glass doors on this tub..
