I purchased the Moroccan handmade zellige tiles in the color ‘Oceanside’ from Wayfair for my bathroom floor, and I am thrilled with the result. The beautiful blue hue of the tiles, with plenty of variation, matches the name perfectly—it really does resemble deep blue water on the floor. The tiles arrived well-packaged, with only a few field pieces broken, which wasn’t a major issue. While there were some minor chips on the edges, using a similar color grout and cutting the edges made them blend in nicely, so they’re hardly noticeable. Once purified, it is pressed into wooden molds and left to air dry for several weeks. Once dry, the clay is fired in a wood-burning kiln for 36 hours, glazed, and fired again for 20 more hours.

The tile looks good. I am a little disappointed in the color variations. Some really dark while others are really red. One tile in the box was broken. I would like to have that one replaced. Three years ago I ordered a product from Wayfair called "Bedrosians Pebble Tile in Kona Sands" for the area around my wood stove and loved it. When I went to find more to use as a backsplash in the kitchen, I found this--same photo, different name.
